Special Projects:
Domestic Violence - GFWC and MFWC President's Special Project
Become aware and learn the facts. Educate members and others about domestic violence and
encourage citizen action to address multiple domestic violence concerns. This can be done in many ways by
researching the resources available in your community. Is there an awareness among
community officials and the community in general? Check with Social Services, law enforcement,
local governments, schools, hospitals and health departments.
Educate your clubs by bringing in speakers, if possible distribute materials. Adopt a shelter,
and raise funds for the residents. There are many creative ways members can get involved!

Advocates for Children - GFWC Juniors' Special Project
Any project related to children or youth that makes
a difference in their lives can be considered an Advocates
for Children project. All clubs should report under
that category - NOT just Junior clubs. For more information,

Community Improvement Contest
Any project that improves the lives of one or more
of its neighbors can be considered as a community improvement
project and is eligible for the contest. These projects provide limitless opportunities
to increase your club's membership and create a positive
public awareness of your club's activities. Monetary
awards are given during the even numbered years. For

Empowering Women One By One
Empowered women go beyond the norm, beyond the traditional way of doing things, and are motivated
to move forward with the least amount of difficulty.

GFWC Clubwoman Magazine
Purpose is to gain new subscriptions to the GFWC
magazine that contains vital information that all clubwomen
should read. At this point a year's subscription cost

Named for the GFWC International Headquarters address
