Since 1939 we have served the global community. Through fundraising events, we raise money to donate to various charitable organizations.We are always happy to welcome new members. Meetings

Meetings We meet from September through June. Meetings are held at our clubhouse, the Masonic Temple, except for the months of December and June when they are held at a local restaurant. The Masonic Temple is located at 410 University Blvd., West, Silver Spring, MD. The general meetings begin at 11:00 with a program and business meeting followed by lunch.

Board Meetings are held on the Monday prior to the first Wednesday of the month at 11:00 am (from September through June).

General Meetings In 2023 a knitting and crochet group was formed. The current focus is on making lap blankets for residents of local nursing homes. We usually meet in members' homes on the fourth Thursday of each month.

Upcoming Events

Projects

Through our knitting and crochet group we have produced and donated numerous lap blankets to residents of local nursing homes. Silver Spring Women's Club sponsors a variety of philanthropic projects in cooperation with the County, State, and the General Federation of Women's Clubs. Included are: Montgomery College Scholarship Fund, Tunnels to Towers, Save the Bay and Smile Train.
