Since 1939 we have served the global community. Through fundraising events, we raise money to donate to various charitable organizations.

Meetings

Meetings are held at the Masonic Temple, 410 University Blvd, West, in Silver Spring, MD with the exception of December and June and they are held at the Argyle Country Club.

Board Meetings are held at 10 a.m. from September through June on or near the first Wednesday

General Meetingsare held on first Wednesday of each month from October through June. They begin at 11 a.m. with a program followed by lunch and business meeting. In December and June we hold our Luncheons at Argyle Country Club.

Duplicate Bridge starts at 10 a.m. and is on the fourth Wednesday of each month, except November and December when it will be held on the second Wednesday.

Projects

Silver Spring Woman’s Club sponsors a variety of philanthropic projects in cooperation with the County, State, and General Federation of Woman’s Clubs. Included are: Montgomery College Scholarship Fund, Smile Train, Crossway, and Save the Bay. We also volunteer at the Montgomery County Thrift Shop.

Club News

Because of an early morning fire in June 2014 at our Club House at the Masonic Temple, we have been meeting at the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration on New Hampshire Avenue in Silver Spring, MD We are truly thankful for this lovely temporary home. However, we hope to be back in our Club House in March or April, 2015.
